The early daily records in book form, as 'Curator's books," the weekly sheets, 'Additions to the Museum," and the Wurtz' card file "Donations to the Museum" are preserved in this collection.

Historical note

The official report of the Academy, as published in its Proceedings, annually listed "Donations to the Museum" assembled from the records kept by the curators. In 1954- 5 Margaret Wurtz assistant to the editor, prepared a card file from these published lists, entering all gifts under the name of the donor, bringing the record up to 1930. During the years 1925-30 the information was supplied as weekly additions by departments, the sheets prepared by the Curators. Later gifts are available in a carded "Accessions File" located in the business office.
