Content Description
The collection primarily contains pencil drawings of light fixtures and decorative elements by A.S. Alexander, most of which are on tissue. There are also several photographs and photostats, primarily of light fixtures, as well Mr. Alexander's 1904 architectural drawing certificate from Drexel and two 1918 letters by Charles F. Kinsman, president of Sterling Bronze, concerning a work trip by Mr. Alexander to Chicago.

Harry Conrad Rippel (1926-2004) worked as a principal engineer at Franklin Institute Research Laboratory from 1952 to 1984 and was a leading authority on tribology, the study of friction, wear, lubrication, and the design of bearings.
