Content Description
The collection primarily contains pencil drawings of light fixtures and decorative elements by A.S. Alexander, most of which are on tissue. There are also several photographs and photostats, primarily of light fixtures, as well Mr. Alexander's 1904 architectural drawing certificate from Drexel and two 1918 letters by Charles F. Kinsman, president of Sterling Bronze, concerning a work trip by Mr. Alexander to Chicago.

Biographical Note
A.S. Alexander completed a two-session course in architectural drawing from the Drexel Institute's Department of Evening Courses in 1904. He later worked for the Sterling Bronze Co. of New York, NY, designing light fixtures such as sconces and chandeliers.
