Scope and Contents This volume represents a series of numbered sheets, continuing to no. 385, but with a great many gaps. Each sheet was repaired and the full gathering bound by a former librarian. Each carries a watercolor of a bird, the drawings seemingly copied from Alexander Wilson's American Ornithology. Terence M. Shortt was a Canadian artist who worked most of his life for the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada. He made more than 30 expeditions worldwide in connection with the preparation of natural history exhibitions for the museum. The field notebooks, all disbound, are filled with his illustrations; the collection also includes sketches, finished drawings, and Christmas cards.

The ANSP offered high-end educational travel "expeditions" in the 1980s and 1990s, and Mr. Wright participated in at least the nine excursions represented here, across South and Central America, Eastern Canada, Mongolia, and the Antarctic between 1974 and 1997.
