The first portion of this volume (pages 1 to 98) contains Rehn's notes from his 1937 Southwestern Orthoptera survey in the southwestern United States, including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Texas. Journal entries date from July 6th to September 9th. This volume contains Rehn's field notes from his 1922 expedition to the American southwest between August 4th and October 1st (pages 1 to 102). As in previous years, Rehn traveled between Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Arizona and New Mexico.The expedition began in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 6th.
