Scope and content note

This scrapbook contains news clippings describing Mary S. Irick Drexel's work as the Chairman of the Bureau of Canteen Service of the Pennsylvania-Delaware Division of the American Red Cross during World War I. Most of the articles relate to Canteen Services in Philadelphia. All the clippings are from the years 1917-1919, except for one clipping from 1956, which describes the removal of the Red Cross Booth from the City Hall courtyard.
