John Hubley Schall earned his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in 1893. Materials represent the life and work of Dr. Schall, his wife, Nina Schall, M.D. (Cornell Medical School, 1906) and probably their son, John Schall, also a physician, who likely owned some of the journals in the collection. After graduating, Dr. Dunning was a practicing physician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later in Nevada.
