Overview
Contents of cornerstones of buildings at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital locations: 1) Hahneman Medical College (Broad Street), 1884, 2) Hospital (South Tower), 1928, and 3) lists and some duplicate contents for the Hospital (North Tower), which was filled, sealed, and laid in 1979. Both 1884 and 1928 materials were placed together in the 1928 cornerstone, and removed in 1979. Included, for example, are ceremony programs listing contents, homeopathic materials including Directory of Homeopathic Physicians (1883), Transactions of World's Homeopathic Convention, v.2, [History] 1876, and selected journal issues, contemporary announcements and brochures, campaign literature and donor lists (1928), contemporary local newspapers, Greater Hahnemann News, v. 1-12, 14-17 (1927-28), photographs of buildings and faculty (1884), and trustees (1928), memorabilia such as medals, floor tiles, and the 1884 lead box.
