Darwin Society Plaques
Scope and Contents
This collection contains two seperate plaques. The first plaque is a dedication plaque and reads: The Darwin Society, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia expresses its sincere appreciation to the Darwin Society for its guidance and support. Established 1980. The second plaque is a name plaque and it reads from top to bottom: Anonymous, Mr. and Mrs. George E.Bartol III, Alan Crawford Jr., Mr. and Mrs. C.C.G Chaplin, J.T Dorrance Jr., Mrs. J. Maxwell Moran, Mr. and Mrs. Bertram L. O'Neill, Rodolphe M. DE Schauensee, Mrs. Edith C. & Miss Marilyn L. Steinbright, Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Tyson. Each name has an idividual placeholder on the plaque. The plaque was removed from the Darwin Room. The gold plaques are secured to wood.
