Scope and Contents
This collection consists of three medallions, 2 small medallion storage boxes, and three notes accompany the medallions. The medals were given to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia by outside institutions including the International Congress of Americanists, The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters, and the Academie Royale des Sciences, des Lettres et des Beaux-Arts de Belgique.

Square, Bronze medallion. The front has a picture of Alberto I Regnante. The front reads Academia Scient Litt et Art. Belgica Centesium Quinquagesimum Natalem Suum Celebrat Anno MCMXXII. The back of the medal shows six women celebrating on the steps of a temple. An inscrition in Latin reads: Prosit Patriae Labor Prosit Et Humano Generi. This can be translated as "Out of the fathers labor come both kinds of humans or out of the fathers labor come to both clans of people." The bottom left corner reads: Victor Rousseau. The bottom reads: J. Ronson. academy
