Scope and Contents
This collection consists of three medallions, 2 small medallion storage boxes, and three notes accompany the medallions. The medals were given to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia by outside institutions including the International Congress of Americanists, The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters, and the Academie Royale des Sciences, des Lettres et des Beaux-Arts de Belgique.

Medallion Description
The medallion is made of bronze and was presented to the Academy of Natural Sciences in 1920 for the semi-centennial of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. The front of the medal has pictures of six men who aided the Academy in succeeding. The front reads, The Wisconsion Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters 1870-1920. The back of the medal is a picture of Minerva with a quote from Lecretius: Naturae Species Ratioque. The folder also includes a small box that protects the medallion. The front of the box reads: Wisconsin Acad. The inside reads Medallic Art Co. New York.
