Scope and Contents Hawkins was an English anatomist, osteologist and paleontologist, but apparently confined his interests to skeletal aspects, stressing comparative osteology as an approach to artistic representations. One paper appeared in the Academy's Proceedings for 1874, "On the Pelvis of Hadrosaurus", and another in New York in 1870 on Ichthyosaurus. Scope and Contents

A collection of two plaster cast replicas of models sold in Henry A Ward's Catalogue of casts of fossils : from the principal museums of Europe and America, with short descriptions and illustrations (1866). Ward's replicas are of Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins' fossil restorations that were first displayed at Crystal Palace Park in London, in 1854. The models are of a Megalosaurus (item 303 in Ward's catalogue) and Iguanodon (item 304).
