Scope and Contents Hawkins was an English anatomist, osteologist and paleontologist, but apparently confined his interests to skeletal aspects, stressing comparative osteology as an approach to artistic representations. One paper appeared in the Academy's Proceedings for 1874, "On the Pelvis of Hadrosaurus", and another in New York in 1870 on Ichthyosaurus. Small plastic gold-toned model of fleshed out dinosaur Hadrosaurus folkii, approximately 3.5 inches tall, 3/4-inch marble base. Labelled "Hadrosaurus folkii America's First Dinosaur Haddonfield, New Jersey." Marble base is signed by artist "John Gianotti 2003."
