Scope and Contents From the Item: The first portion of this volume (pages 1 to 89) contains Rehn's journal entries from his "1947 Southwestern Orthoptera Survey." Journal entries date from July 16th to September 6th. Collecting began on July 25th in the region between Trinidad and Alamosa, Colorado. The area surveyed includes southern Colorado, southern Utah, northern Arizona, Southern Nevada, south-eastern California, central New Mexico, and northern Texas. Scope and Contents

This volume contains Rehn's field notes from his 1924 expedition to the Nevada and Arizona mountain ranges between August 16th and October 2nd. The expedition began with a brief period in Brighton, Utah beginning on August 19th. The party then traveled to the region of Tonopah, Nevada on August 22nd, and ended in the region of Tucson, Arizona on September 29th.
