This collection consists of a small number of scholarship applications, many accompanied by letters of recommendation. In the early 20th century, scholarship applications were handled directly by Drexel's president, and so the letters of recommendation are addressed directly to James MacAlister, Drexel's first president. The collection is arranged alphabetically by last name.

The bulk of the photos are from 1903-1904 and 1914-1915. Domestic science is the predominant subject.
