Overview

This collection consists of photographs, proof sheets, zip disks and CDs of pictures taken for the Lexerd yearbook. The date range is from 1962 to 2007, but the bulk of the items are from 1999 to 2007. Some of the photographs in this collection can also be found in the Lexerd yearbooks. Subjects of the photographs include athletics, views of the city and campus, Drexel events, faculty and academic departments, fraternities and sororities, and student organizations.

Scope and content note The collection contains nine boxes of records related to Drexel’s men basketball team that were created between 1953 and 2001, and cover the period from 1895, when Drexel played it first basketball game, to 2001. The collection is arranged by type of material. Overview

Basketball was the first sport played by women at Drexel; the Women's Athletic Association began organizing games in 1908 or earlier. Records of the early days of women's basketball and other women's sports are available in the Women's Athletics Collection. This collection includes records from 1976 to 1999 and consists of newspaper clippings, press releases, team yearbooks and other booklets, brochures, and photographs.
