The collection consists of various records, including minutes, treasurer's books, membership lists and accounts, as well as a series of other general papers and a small collection of correspondence, from 1875 to 1924. The agreements and documents dated 1876-96, include original drafts, petitions, resolutions, reports of committees and a single scientific report by Henry Skinner and Wm. J. Committee reports were preserved for 1938 and 1939 when Stephen Thomas was Secretary and H. T. Green acting Secretary. A few of the papers relate to museum habitat groups and display of minerals.
