Discusses various Societies of the Norristown area, the Montgomery County Cabinet of Natural Sciences organized in 1830, the Nugent Collegiate Institute of Gulph Mills, the Upper Merion Lyceum, the Literary and Scientific Institute of Montgomery County, the Lumberville Literary and Science Association, 1841, the Agassiz Association of the 1880's.
