Scope and Contents This commemorative tee-shirt is from the Kansas Academy of Science for their 133 Annual Meeting on April 7, 2001 at the University of Kansas. The shirt was given out to participants of the Paleontology Symposium: Shells, Bones, and Stones". The top of the white shirt reads: "Kansas Paleontology 1868-2001: In their Footsteps". Scope and Contents This collection contains an eiderdown robe. There is a dry cleaning ticket that accompanies the robe, "2/18/52, Mrs. J.A. Griswold Jr. of West Valley Road, Stafford-Wayne, PA. Lamb Robe, valued at three-hundred dollars." The charge to dry clean was six dollars. On the back of the ticket in pencil is written, "Griswold curator at Philadelphia Zoo." The collection includes a set of Native American clothing and tools belonging to John James Audubon that were deposited at the Academy by one of his descendants. The set includes a pair of trousers, a leather jacket, two sets of moccasins, a beaded blanket, a stone ax head, a knife scabbard, a set of bear claws, a beaded pouch, and a pelican skin blanket.
