Scope and Contents

Frank Mason was an entomologist who willed his collection of Coleoptera to the Academy. These papers consist of correspondence between J.A.G. Rehn of the Entomology Department and Mason's colleagues concerning his death in 1927, and 3 blueprints of storage cases and a floor plan, apparently for Mason's collection but not so identified.

Scope and Contents The accession ledgers for the American Entomological Society's library comprise this small collection. The pages of each ledger have printed columns with handwritten contents. The entries of the first volume were entered well after the books were collected: a note on page 2 states, "Began giving accession numbers and entering 1/20 1909."
