This collection consists of single and group printing blocks and plates commissioned for use by the Academy of Natural Sciences. The plates and blocks range from animal figures, signature plates, letterhead, to special invitations. The printing blocks are made of wood with metal outlines fastened to the wood. There are solid metal printing plates and also metal roller printing plates. Each block or plate has a general note attached to it with more detail.

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The Mabelle Campbell photograph collection includes six photo albums, thirty-nine loose photos, two Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company Hiking Club Lists, and nine pamphlets from the Leidy Microscopical Club. The albums, photos, and papers document excursions of the Delaware Valley Naturalists Union from 1894-1939. According to a conversation with Mrs. Campbell in 1980, most of the photographs were taken by Harold Palmer

Scope and Contents

This plaque was hung in the Introductory Gallery of the Academy of Natural Science in Philadelphia. The plaque reads: This Introductory Gallery Given In Memory Of Mr. & Mrs. Horace A. Reeves By Their Daughter Eleanor M. Reeves. A note attached to the plaque says that the plaque may be from Endangered Species Hall but was dismantled.

Frank Jacob Myers Papers

Scope and Contents The original contents of of this collection comprised pen-and-ink drawings of rotifers made to illustrate Frank J. Myers' papers on the subject. These illustrations were given to the Academy by Myers's grandchildren, Larry and Marina Gopodze, in 1968. The rest of the collection came down from entomology in 2010. Nominations, as shown on the stubs of the book of records, appear in 5 volumes, 1817-1929. Two books of proposals, possibly a duplication of entries in the nomination book also record the names from Feb. 15, 1814 to Dec. 27, 1853.

Also Two ballot boxes, one gavel, one plastic box containing seven white balls and four black balls. One folder containing two notes that accompanied the ballot box and gavel. Another box containing sixty-eight white balls and fourteen black balls.
