Academy of Natural Sciences Printing Blocks and Plates
This collection consists of single and group printing blocks and plates commissioned for use by the Academy of Natural Sciences. The plates and blocks range from animal figures, signature plates, letterhead, to special invitations. The printing blocks are made of wood with metal outlines fastened to the wood. There are solid metal printing plates and also metal roller printing plates. Each block or plate has a general note attached to it with more detail.

Antique Spectrometer
This collection contains one large wooden box with handle and one antique spectrometer with a metal base. Two scopes are attached to the spectrometer and a crystal sits in the center of the instrument. A Spectrometer is an instrument used to measure properties of light over a specific portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, typically used in spectroscopic analysis to identify materials
Antique Spectrometer
An instrument used to measure properties of light over a specific portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, typically used in spectroscopic analysis to identify materials. This antique spectrometer has two scopes, one attached and one loose. There is also no crystal to help reflect light. The spectrometer sits on a wooden base. The loose scope is attached to the wooden base.

The hard hat was worn by Carol Spawn when the construction of the library at the Academy of Natural Sciences was in progress.
Inuit Statue
This statue is of three inuit tribe members and a bear. The statue is made from Soapstone. The statue once belonged to the Academy of Natural Sciences Gift Shop and was set to be sold. Since it was not sold at first, the Women's Committee at the Academy purchased the statue following an exhibition on Inuits and Alaska.
Lewis and Clark: The National Bicentennial Exhibition Hat
The commemorative hat comes from the Lewis and Clark National Bicentennial Exhibition from November 6, 2004 to March 20, 2005. The hat is black and cost 15.00, the tag is still intact.
Medals Presented to the Academy
This collection consists of three medallions, 2 small medallion storage boxes, and three notes accompany the medallions. The medals were given to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia by outside institutions including the International Congress of Americanists, The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters, and the Academie Royale des Sciences, des Lettres et des Beaux-Arts de Belgique.
