Two scopes are attached to the spectrometer and a crystal sits in the center of the instrument. An instrument used to measure properties of light over a specific portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, typically used in spectroscopic analysis to identify materials. This antique spectrometer has two scopes, one attached and one loose. There is also no crystal to help reflect light. The spectrometer sits on a wooden base. The loose scope is attached to the wooden base.
