Manuscript seemingly intended for a publisher as reference is made to "your readers." The writer thinks it will interes the receivers' readesr who are in sympathy with or taking an active part in the "elevation of women and securing to them their natural rights." Hannah W. Ellis, Hannah Longshore, Jane Myers and Ann Preston are discussed. The manuscript refers to the college as Female Medical College of Pennsylvania (Female was changed to Woman's in 1867) and references the Pennsylvania Medical University of Phialdelphia, which didn't exist until 1853, dating the manuscript between 1853 and 1867.
