General
The Eccentric was created by the students of the Engineering Department, in 1895, 1896, and 1897. The Hanseatic was created by the students in the Department of Commerce and Finance. The DI Yearbook (1911) and the Record (1912) were also created by the students of the Engineering Department. The first yearbook titled the Lexerd, published in 1913, was created by the Engineering Department as well. Starting with the 1914 Lexerd, it was created by and for the student body of the day program as a whole. The students of the evening program published their own yearbook, the Spartan, beginning in the mid-1930s and up the mid-1950s. The archives does not have a complete run of the Spartan.
