Biographical Note

Corinne (Hogden) Robinson was born in 1909 in Ettick, Wisconsin. She studied at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Cincinnati, where she earned an M.S. in 1934. She began her career as a research assistant at Children's Hospital before moving to New York to teach in the nursing school at Columbia University. She taught at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania before arriving at Drexel in 1953 to serve as the head of the Department of Food and Nutrition. Robinson was honored with Drexel's Lindback Award for Teaching in 1962. She was active in the American Dietetic Association, serving on the board of its journal and as president of her state chapter, the Pennsylvania Dietetic Association. After retiring from Drexel in 1969, she continued to write and speak about nutrition to popular and scholarly audiences. She died in 2005.
