Historical note
For over a hundred years this Society has been friendly with the Academy, the two institutions cooperating whenever feasible, in exchanging publications and specimens, books and other commodities of interest to both. Many scientific endeavors have been jointly inaugurated and special memorial meetings and symposia supervised.
