Scope and Contents

The collection consists primarily of original illustrations on scraperboard (scratchboard) and clayboard of the golden eagle, common raptors and other birds of prey created by Jim Lish beginning in 1978. Also included are experimental and test drawings; prints of illustrations; publications featuring Lish's illustrations; correspondence; and an annotated unpublished manuscript "The World of The Golden Eagle: An Illustrated Life History" by Lish. The collection also includes 4 USB drives containing digital scans (unprocessed) of Lish's illustrations and a "guide to the illustrations" compiled by Lish.
