Scope and Contents

The bylaws adopted in 1924, which were implemented the following year, placed the administration under a Board of Trustees. The two volumes of minutes since then are in the hands of the secretary of the Board and housed in the vault in the administrative office. The personnel of the Board, with portraits, short biographies and terms of office since 1955 is outlined in a special publication. Informational documents, letters, etc. are assembled in this collection.

ANSP Habitat Groups Giant Sable Antelope Papers

Scope and Contents In 1929 and again in 1930, the Academy sponsored the Gray African Expeditions to procure Giant Sable Antelope for a habitat group in its museum. Through the generosity of Prentiss N. Gray, the nationally known big game hunter, the display was set up. The animals were prepared by the James L.
