Faraday Leighton Peterson's collection on George W. Childs
This collection contains papers and ephemera related to George W. Childs, including letters, calling cards, a book of autographs, newspapers, photographs, books and pamphlets. The calling cards and autograph book document Mr. Childs's social interaction with such 19th century luminaries as Nathaniel Hawthorne, General William T. Sherman and Alexander Graham Bell.
