Scope and Contents Researchers will find handwritten field notes from Rehn, Hodge, Hebbard, and Roberts, dating from 1904-1957. Notes include localities and specimen lists from expeditions throughout the United States and Mexico, as well as Jamaica and Africa. Several notebooks from J.A.G. Rehn pertain to the 1934 Academy expedition to Africa with George Vanderbilt, and contain lists of wet specimens (not exclusively insects) collected. Scope and Contents These holdings do not include all of Jones's correspondence in the field of biology, since he believed that collections, papers and letters about material from a given region should be deposited and preserved in that area. Other letters have been distributed among various individual correspondents, Boston Museum of Natural History, Society of Natural History of Wilmington, Delaware, and the U. S. National Museum. Scope and Contents

These papers refer to professional matters, in large part, although a few personal and biographical items are included. Texts of articles, both published and unpublished, drawings, charts, bibliographies, mailing lists, collecting data, and records pertaining to the location of Odonata in outside collections in the world are all to be found included in this lot.

Assembled by Calvert and retained in his home office until his death, when they were bequeathed to the Academy.
