Scope and Contents This plaster cast is the original plaster model for the obverse of the Academy of Natural Sciences Gold Medal for Distinction in Natural History Art. The medal was originally designed by David Bonner and Donald Patterson of the Franklin Mint. The original plaster for the reverse of the medal was never returned to the Academy by the Franklin Mint. Scope and Contents

Minutes of the Women's Committee 1954-1996, correspondence, membership Lists, information on two SuperSundays (1971, 1985), and documents giving its history from 1936 to 1954. Records for 1936-1975 transferred to Academy archives by Development office in 1979 and 1980; records to 1996 transferred by Women's Committee but no accession record found.

Inuit Statue

Scope and Contents

This statue is of three inuit tribe members and a bear. The statue is made from Soapstone. The statue once belonged to the Academy of Natural Sciences Gift Shop and was set to be sold. Since it was not sold at first, the Women's Committee at the Academy purchased the statue following an exhibition on Inuits and Alaska.
